Because the PC is a completely open platform, VideoGuard PC is designed to ensure that your valuable content remains protected in a dynamic way that minimizes potential leaks.

A Trusted Secure Player (TSP) in the PC provides the enhanced security framework. It also transfers content descrambling keys, re-encrypts or localizes content and descrambles it for playback. Content delivered to the PC is also localized so that it can only be played on a specific device.

Designed for maximum subscriber choice and flexibility, VideoGuard PC is available in two versions:

NDS PC Show™—for delivering VOD and basic linear channels over the open Web. Designed with VideoGuard PC to protect content, this robust solution allows subscribers to watch VOD as well as a basic selection of linear channels anywhere, using an operator’s branded web portal. With NDS PC Show, subscribers can securely move content between devices.

NDS PC Plex™—turns your PC into a complete entertainment center. PC Plex uses a PC tuner (satellite, cable, or terrestrial) or broadband modem (IPTV), depending on how content is usually delivered. This enables subscribers to enjoy either a partial or full bouquet of channels as well as services including DVR, VOD and content transfer.
